Fantasy Diamond League: Get your picks in for Rabat
Fantasy Track & Field is here: Compete in the Fantasy Diamond League

How many can you name?
Hi ,
Just wanted to remind you to submit your picks for the Fantasy Rabat Diamond League contest before the meet starts this Sunday at 2pm US Eastern time! There will be a number of great matchups, including Yared Nuguse versus Jakob Ingebrigsten in the 1500, Shericka Jackson in the 200m and a stacked men’s 100m despite the late withdrawal of Olympic champ Marcell Jacobs.

The first DL meeting of the year in Doha didn’t disappoint both trackside and on the predictions end — the Fantasy Doha competition was very close with the third-place spot relying on tiebreaker (you can see the detailed scoring breakdown here and in the LRC thread). Going forwards, we’ll be using the scoring method suggested in that thread which should reward first-place picks more heavily.
I’m also introducing a league-wide scoring system. Much like the actual Diamond League, you’ll get points for placing in each DL Prediction Contest and there will be a league champion at the end with the lowest cumulative place. But don’t worry if you miss out on a meet or two — I’m using my AI predictions bot as an effective “floor” for the contest, meaning if you score worse than the bot or don’t enter at all, I’ll bump you up to no worse than how the bot performs. In Doha, this was surprisingly well — the bot placed 11th out of 166, meaning everyone who finished 12th or worse (or not at all) has a clean slate going forwards with a great chance to win. You can read more about it here, but the bottom line is it allows everyone to still compete in the league even if you missed a meet or are joining late. Just remember to click “Submit / Update Picks” and use the same email and password you used before so that we can keep track for the league standings.
One more thing — I have no affiliation with USATF, but because I know you probably like predicting, I’d also recommend entering the USATF Pick’Em contest for the LA Grand Prix this weekend, with $850 in prizes. They do it a little different than me. You can enter here: https://www.usatf.org/pick-em-games
