This weekend marks the first double-header of the 2024 season — two Diamond League events will be taking place, and the Fantasy DL is now out for both Oslo (on Thursday May 30) and Stockholm (on Sunday June 2). In Oslo, we’ll first get to see if Shericka Jackson can respond to Sha’Carri Richardson’s statement win at the Pre Classic with a fast time of her own in the 200, but soon after the men’s 5000m is shaping up to be a world record attempt with an incredible five performers at 12:42 or better (Cheptegei, Kejelcha, Kiplimo, Gebrhiwet, and Telahun Bekele). And if that wasn’t enough, look out for a duel between Karsten Warholm and Alison Dos Santos, who has already run sub-47 this year, in the 400m hurdles.

In Stockholm, Dos Santos will double-up with another 400m hurdles attempt, as will Bekele and Worlds 4th-placer Luis Grijalva in the 3000m and Jackson in another 200m. World record holder Lamecha Girma will finally make his steeplechase season debut, and new world leader Djamel Sedjati will highlight a competitive men’s 800m field.
