The unlikely rise of Jess Hull culminating in her 2000m world record at Monaco and runner-up finish behind Faith Kipyegon’s record-breaking 1500m in Paris proves that there’s still time for Olympic contenders to break through, and London will be their last chance to perform on the Diamond League going into Paris.

Can Femke Bol show she won’t settle for silver in Paris coming off a scorching 50.9 400mH PB earlier this week? How can America’s best distance hope Grant Fisher fare against a DL 3000m field? With Shericka Jackson possibly injured, can Gabbi Thomas cement herself as an Olympic favorite against Julien Alfred and Dina Asher-Smith in the 200m? And lastly, all eyes will be on Noah Lyles, who was a late scratch in Monaco, to finally face last year’s World runner-up Letsile Tebogo. If the phenom Tebogo can pull off a win here, the Olympic 100m could be his for the taking next.
